Consumer Guarantees & Fair Trading
Under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA) and the Fair Trading Act 1986, consumers in New Zealand have statutory rights when purchasing services. These rights cannot be contracted out of.
- Services will be carried out with reasonable care and skill.
- Services will be fit for the purpose that you and Offerlift have agreed upon.
- If we fail to comply with these guarantees, you are entitled to remedies — for example, re-performance of the service or a refund depending on the circumstances.
If you believe a service does not meet these guarantees, contact us promptly so we can remedy the issue.
Bookings, cancellations and refunds
Bookings are confirmed once a deposit (if required) is paid or a booking is acknowledged by Offerlift. For cancellations:
- Free cancellation is allowed up to 24 hours before the scheduled service.
- Cancellations inside 24 hours may incur a cancellation fee (up to 25% of the booking value) to cover administrative and allocation costs.
- Refunds where applicable will be processed within 14 days, except where the CGA entitles you to other remedies.

Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Offerlift's liability for any loss or damage arising from the services is limited to the cost of re-performing the service or refunding the fee paid for that service.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other mandatory consumer protections. We carry public liability insurance where applicable; contact us for a copy of the insurance certificate.

Privacy & data handling

We retain data only as long as necessary for legitimate business and legal purposes. Where we use third-party processors (e.g. payment providers), we ensure appropriate data protection measures.
FAQs & dispute resolution
If you have a complaint we cannot resolve informally, you may escalate to a dispute resolution body in New Zealand.
